To Fonderia Morini, these are not just words or slogans: we’ve always believed in concepts of quality, safety and sustainability, acting accordingly. Our Code of Ethics is embedded in the company’s DNA. The quality of our products – recognized in Italy and abroad – is the result of extensive research and constant technological innovation, which has led us to continuously invest in modern production and IT management technologies and to collaborate with several institutions and certified partners. We source materials mainly from companies that pay particular attention to their green footprint: for example for aluminum supply we are supported by Alcoa and Raffmetal, while Foseco provides us with other production materials.
When our suppliers and customers come and visit our premises, they are impressed by the extreme care and attention to safety, cleanliness, order and to maintaining a protected and healthy work environment, both inside and outside. These have been our core values since the beginning of our family business, an attitude that belonged to us long before the implementation of regulations requiring to do it. The safety of the people working inside our plants is a sine qua non: thanks to our staff regular and thorough training and the use of constantly updated machinery, there are zero workplace accidents; in addition, those production processes considered critical have been robotized, further minimizing risks and stress for our employees.
Let’s go back to the previous theme of facade eco-sustainability. Many companies shows an alleged green attitude when in reality they bypass regulatory limits by purchasing materials from countries with safety and environmental regulations almost non-existent if compared to the strict European standards. Another controversial strategy consists in using eco-sustainability as a justification for raising prices surreptitiously, claiming that it was necessary in order to follow ethical codes and green regulations.
Fonderia Morini firmly refuses these devious strategies: health, sustainability, attention to the community, respect for people and the environment are part of our company’s spirit, not a passing trend to which we just adapt.
FONDERIA MORINI GETS GREEN WITH SOLID FACTS
Our company emissions have always been in compliance with the regulations and are subjects to constant monitoring. In order to make the production process truly ecological, however, it is necessary to consider the key argument of energy efficiency – always a critical point for heavy industry, that is one of the most energy-demanding sectors. The green transition must also pass through the decarbonisation of energy supply. That is way we’re working on an ambitious project for the implementation of a large photovoltaic system that will increase our green footprint. We will discuss it in detail in 2024 as we get to an advanced phase.
