Automated Cutting

The process involves automated precision cutting for the removal of vents and runners, and is applied to complex medium-sized pieces produced in medium series.

Compared to the traditional cut, carried out manually by the operators, the automated process offers clear advantages. Firstly, the accuracy and uniformity when producing items in series. Then, a reduction of the subsequent finishing operations, such as belt sanding, thanks to the high precision of the cut. Last but certainly not least, the automation of this process eliminates the risk of injuries for operators, given the obvious difficulties in handling and manually positioning pieces of this size.
