Territory, sport and sustainability
This year’s edition is inspired by a philosophy of eco-sustainability, which allows athletes, volunteers and public to enjoy the race while contributing to the protection of the planet.
The magic surrounding this event is in the beauty of the landscapes it crosses as well as in the friendliness of the people taking part in it: women and men of different ages, not only professional runners but also enthusiasts, who are willing to challenge themselves in the name of sport and for numerous charitable causes.
Route and schedules
The route winds through the evocative hills of the Tuscan-Emilian Appennines, crossing Passo della Colla (913 meters above sea level), where the Mountain Gran Prix is held.
From Tuscany to Romagna: the race starts from the stunning Piazza del Duomo in Florence, then goes through several towns along the route including Fiesole, Borgo San Lorenzo, Casaglia, Marradi and Brisighella, until the arrival point located in Piazza del Popolo in Faenza.
The race will officially starts on Saturday 25th at 15:00. The first competitors to arrive, greeted by the warm crowd waiting in Piazza del Popolo, will cross the finish line in the late evening, passing under the arch where it’s possible to see, among others, the logo of Fonderia Morini, always ready to support sporting initiatives and realities of the territory. The event will end on Sunday morning with the arrival of all the runners.
