Investing in technology not only means boosting market competitiveness but also improving the quality of life for employees and those living near an industrial plant. Recently, there have been numerous reports about the unhealthy nature of production processes in the steel industry.
However, some "good news" is coming from Fonderia Morini, challenging the common belief that competitive metallurgical production is incompatible with climate action: after significant investments in its industrial machineries, Fonderia Morini has embarked on a major overhaul of its production site.
Starting in July, work will begin on refurbishing the roof of the production plant. This renovation will continue until the end of 2024, with a financial investment of over 300,000 euros. Asbestos-containing parts of the roof will be removed and disposed of safely, and the entire section will be renovated to increase natural ventilation and enhance sound-absorbing capacity through a new layer of soundproofing material. This will positively impact both the quality of the working environment and the plant's acoustic footprint in the surrounding area.
All of this will be accompanied by further future investments in renewable energy, making Fonderia Morini's green commitment even stronger.
