Fonderia Morini was also affected. Below are the words of Enrico Morini, president of Fonderia Morini, as shared with TG3.

To all our customers

FONDERIA MORINI: GROWING "QUIETLY"

Work has started on the roof of the production site: improved ventilation, better acoustic comfort, and an increasingly green footprint for the plant.

On the 25th and 26th of May 2024, one of the most important sporting events of our territory will take place: the 49th edition of “100 km del Passatore” ultramarathon, organized by the ASD 100 km del Passatore.

Named after the traditional figure of Romagna folklore, this race is also valid as an official stage of Fidal Assoluto and Master Italian Championship.

The 3000 confirmed participants are ready to face the long route connecting the city of Florence to Faenza, driven by the values of sportsmanship and determination that characterize the race from its very beginning.

The passion and enthusiasm unite participants, the crowd and particularly the over 500 volunteers that make it possible to safely run the race every year, thanks to the several refreshment and first aid points along the route.

The various sponsors - including Fonderia Morini - have also contributed to the success of the event, despite the economic damage caused by the cancellation of last year’s edition due to the flood that hit Romagna hard just few days before the event.

Our company is proud to be supporting an ambitious sports project of the Ravenna territory.  The “Dilettantistica FarrVela” Sporting Association, established by a group of young sailors from Emilia Romagna and their parents, intends to create a journey that is one of a kind in Italy. The young participants come from different nautical Circles (Circolo Velico Ravennate and Circolo Nautico del Savio), where they learned both sailing and regatta racing skills, and where friendships were formed as well as the collaboration that led to the idea of exploring a even more complex world: offshore sailing, generally a prerogative of adult and expert sailors.
